My Word Family Book Volume 1 focuses on the short vowels of English. This book is designed to help young learners differentiate the meaning of single syllable words using pictures.
For only RM10 (approximately 2.50USD), educators can use this book to help learners visualise the meaning of words for each word family short vowel sounds. Here are pictures showing what the book looks like:
For each word family, learners start by tracing the letters neatly in the lines provided before they label the pictures using the words given. There is also a page of simple exercise to reinforce the words they have learnt for each word family. These simple exercises vary as some require matching pictures to words, ticking the correct answer, circling correctly or rearranging the letters to form the correct spelling. If the learners are unsure of the answers, they can easily refer to the previous page.
